OZZIE GUILLEN, Former Chicago White Sox MLB Manager

Ozzie Guillen, a Venezuelan-American former professional baseball player who is the current manager of Tiburones de La Guaira of the Venezuelan League. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop for 16 seasons, primarily with the Chicago White Sox, from 1985 to 2000 and managed the team from 2004 to 2011.

He started playing golf every time there was a golf outing for charity. As a left-handed golfer, he faced challenges finding clubs that fit, so he often spent more time observing rather than playing. Despite baseball being his primary passion, golf has become a significant part of the Venezuelan native’s life. Guillen’s home course is Cog Hill Golf & Country Club and plays to a 14 handicap.
